Pricing
Every fee is published. The price you see is a starting fee for that work, confirmed in writing before any work begins. There is no hourly billing, so the cost does not move while the work is underway, and a change in scope is agreed with you before it is worked on rather than added to an invoice afterwards.

What changes the price
A starting fee assumes a return with no complications. These are the things that most often move it, and any of them is discussed with you and priced before the work is done.
Returns in more than one state
Rental properties
Foreign accounts and the reporting they trigger
Prior year returns that are not yet filed
K-1s received from other entities
Books that are incomplete or need reconciling before the return can be prepared
If none of these apply to you, the published fee is the fee.
How pricing works
How is the fee agreed?
The fee is fixed and confirmed in writing before any work starts. There is no hourly billing. If something comes to light that changes the scope, the revised fee is agreed with you before that work is done, not added to an invoice afterwards.
How are documents exchanged?
By email, once a fee has been agreed. Do not send tax documents or identifying numbers with a first enquiry, because they are not needed to answer one.
Who prepares and signs the return?
A CPA licensed by the Washington State Board of Accountancy prepares and signs the return. The licence can be verified through the board.
Not sure which line applies to you
Describe your situation in a few sentences and you will get the fee that applies, in writing, within one business day. There is no charge for that and no obligation to go ahead.
